In September 2016, it was announced that Claus-Dietrich Lahrs would become CEO, replacing Carlo Beretta.

According to the reviews in ¨Truspilot ¨ some people have shown disappointment especially regarding customer service and quality,

Absolutely the worst service!!! And poor quality. Bought the cassette bag in beige. Wore it for 20 minutes and noticed a slight color transfer from my jeans, took it straight back to bottega to be swapped and they would not help me. They only offered to clean. This is a terrible service. They never informed me that this could happen to such an expensive bag however the quality is so poor they don’t even include the color transfer on the warranty, They still have my bag. Also, they want to send it away for 1 month to be cleaned instead of just replacing it. Still dealing with their terrible service. I will be writing a review on every single platform I can find and have also contacted a lawyer to deal with them. This is not right or fair trading to anyone aNd needs to be stopped and changed immediately.

"Worse retail experience ever. The employees run the place, if upper management likes you managers have their job secure not due to their merit but because of favoritism. Sales Professionals think they know it all so they do not listen or follow policies. Instead of giving so much product training upper management should clean house and give training to their managers and staff on customer service, selling and following policies. Instead of working the staff spends time back stabbing one another.BenefitsEverything"

"Sono stato assunto tramite una cooperativa in guardiania, l'esperienza è stata molto brutta, gli orari che cambiavano di continuo e facevo più di 8 ore al giorno e molto più di 40 ore a settimana, facevo anche le notti per le quali non era prevista nessuna maggiorazione, saltavo speso i gironi di risposo, più di una volta facevo 10-12 giorni di lavoro senza risposare in cui c'erano anche le notti,ovviamente con una paga bassissima ( 6,5 lordi) ma la paga di alcuni colleghi ancora più bassa. Il personale di Bottega ( intendo sia il personale che i titolari) sono molto gentili e cortesi ma la cooperativa con cui sono stato assunto, hanno sicuramente dimenticato i diritti degli uomini, rispetto per il lavoratore -0."

"Typical day on the job would be from 9am to 6:30pm, depending on the time of the year as well as the department. Teams were small so it was possible to be involved and or learn from different teams in the business, a lot of cross-functionality work and interactions between teams. That being said, the most challenging part is being a small team, and there was a lack of mentorship from senior management. The work environment was surprisingly hierarchichal despite it being small.Beautiful product, the brand has a wonderful heritageno work life balance depending on the department, lack off mentorship, no upward mobility if you are a junior or non-manager level."
